Camp Hill Soccer Club

...FALL 2008 SOCCER REGISTRATION…

Fall 2008 registration is now open.

Registration will be open through April 30th for age groups U9 and above and through May 31st for Smurf and U8 players.  A late registration fee of $15 will be assessed for registrants after these dates.  To register your child, or if you have any questions please contact the Registrar, Lynette Pertschi at 730-3829 or via email registrar@camphillsoccer.org

Registration Fees:

Based on coaches and parent feedback, we will again be using the City Islanders for player training for the U8 through U16 teams.  Our registration fees were increased last year to cover the additional cost of the training and we were able to hold our fees to last years rates.

Smurfs:      $55

U8's:          $70

U9-U16:     $80

U17+:         $70

There is a $10 discount per player after the first player and a $190 maximum family registration fee.

The club believes that every child that wants to play soccer should be able to, regardless of their ability to pay.  The club offers scholarships to players whose financial circumstances warrant.  Please contact the registrar if you would like to discuss a scholarship for your child or children.

Things Parents should know about registration and the Club (this information is generally for the Fall season)

  1. Everyone involved in registration, team selection and coaching is a volunteer.  Please be patient with us.
  2.  Everyone involved in the Club, except the referees and registrar, is unpaid.

a.       The registrar is a paid position due to the huge time commitment necessary to get teams and players registered.

    1. Referees are paid to insure that a qualified pool is available.
    2. We also pay for some field maintenance and setup when volunteers are not available.
  1. We’re always looking for additional volunteers, contact any Board Member if you'd like to help.  Visit the Player/Parents page to see what we need.
  2. The Smurf and U-8 programs are intramural programs run by the CHSC.  Teams play only other CHSC teams at this level.
    1. Practice is generally twice a week with games once a week.
    2. Referees are provided by the Club.

If your child is interested in becoming a referee, contact Hugh Earhart, referee coordinator.

    1. A team t-shirt is included in the registration price for each player.
    2. Equipment required for your child to play at this age includes soccer cleats, shin guards and a size 3 soccer ball.
  1. U9 and U10 players are required to attend our skills evaluation day held in April.  Coaches and other parents evaluate the skill of each child.  These evaluations are used in assigning players to teams and teams to the appropriate Division. If your child does not participate in the evaluation process, they will be placed on a team  based on other information available to the club.  2008 Evaluations are scheduled for April 27 from 12pm-3pm with a rain date of May 4.
  2. Division III (formerly rec) teams are only available for the U10 and U12 age groups.  Division III teams offer a lower level of completion and a more relaxed atmosphere for your child.  If your child is identified, either by you, or by the club through the skills evaluation process, for a Division III team, the club will do its best to put them on the closest age appropriate team (U-9’s play on the U-10 team, U-11’s play on the U-12 team).
    1. Depending on the number of teams registering with CPYSL, there may not be a Division III offered by CPYSL in which case, your child may be assigned to a Division II team.
    2. Division III teams do travel.  CPYSL sets the schedule of games and the teams we compete against.  Travel can be as close as Dillsburg and Red Land and as far away as Gettysburg and Lewistown.  We do not know until CPYSL establishes the schedule what teams we will be playing against.
    3. If you identified Division III as your preference and no team is available, you will be notified and given the option of dropping from registration and receiving a full refund or remaining on the roster and accepting the team assignment.
    4. Notify the registrar if you would like your child to play on a Division III team.
  1. Division II/I teams are established by the club based on the skill level of the players assigned.  You can expect a higher level of competition and a more challenging game for your child.
  1. The Camp Hill Soccer Club is a member of the Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League (CPYSL) and the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA).  EPYSA is a member of the US Youth Soccer Association.  As members, we must abide by the rules established by the Organization.
    1. Our association with CPYSL provides the organization of competition for U-9 and above teams, scheduling of games and supplying referees.
    2. Our association with EPYSA provides liability insurance covering all registered coaches and registered players including our Smurf and U-8 intramural players.
    3. Part of your registration fee is used to pay dues and fees to CPYSL and EPYSA for their services.
  1. Refunds will be provided under the following circumstances.
    1. No team is available for your child – full refund
    2. You request a refund prior to May 31 – full refund
    3. Your child cannot play for medical reasons (i.e. broken bone) and the season has not started – full refund

NO OTHER REFUNDS WILL BE CONSIDERED
