Intramural

In the intramural program we will continue to structure teams in a blended format. Smurf (U6) teams are made up of co ed players and the U8 teams are gender specific. The blended format at these age groups allow for the introduction of soccer skills and team concepts in a way that develops the love of soccer in a community building environment. We will create small teams to allow each player more game experience and ball touches. Smurf teams will play 3v3 with 6 players on a team or as close as numbers will allow. U8 teams will play 5v5 with an ideal 8 players per team.

Practices and Games

U8 teams practice 2 x week with games Saturday mornings, girls at Schaeffer and boys at the Farm Bureau. Smurf teams practice 1 or 2 x week at the coach’s discretion with games on Friday nights on fields surrounding the Fiala building.

Intramural Uniforms

This year we will be providing uniform kits to both our U8 and Smurfs players including a professional national or international team jersey, shorts, and socks for less than you will find in local stores. The kit cost will be a modest $30 and will be paid during the registration process. Team sponsors are helping to defray costs allowing us to offer these terrific uniforms kits at a reasonable price. Coaches will be handing out the uniform kits prior to the first game.
