OUR MISSION:
The Camp Hill Soccer Club has a responsibility to promote the advancement of youth soccer in the Camp
Hill area and to
encourage participation as a vehicle to develop self-esteem and confidence while promoting
fair competition, good
sportsmanship, and health and fitness.
We will encourage the development of player skills and abilities, promote programs that teach basic team
skills, and
support the development of trained coaches and referees.
In addition, we will participate in Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer league (CPYSL) where we will advance
teams and
players to the highest possible level of play.
FALL PROGRAM:
· Our biggest season, practices usually start in mid-to-late August. Games begin in late August or early
September and
continue to late October or early November.
· A highlight of the Fall is our annual Opening Day ceremony, held the first Sunday after Labor Day.
· Registration occurs the preceding spring, but late registrations are accepted (with a late fee), subject to
available
roster openings.
· Teams are picked in June for the following fall. This early selection is due to CPYSL
registration
requirements, and the
need to find the appropriate number of coaches.
SPRING PROGRAM:
· Smaller and more casual than fall.
· Many teams do not hold practices during the spring season.
· Contact your fall coach if you are interested in playing in the spring.
SUMMER PROGRAM:
· Wednesday evening pickup games at Fiala Fields.
· Club sponsored player development camp (details to follow)
LEVELS OF PLAY:
· Intramural Program
Includes our U-8 and U-6 (Smurf) programs. Teams are equally divided in skill level. The primary purpose
of this
league is
the development of player skills. Teams practice 1-2 times per week, with one game per
week. There are
usually no
additional costs. All practices and games are on fields in Camp Hill.
· Travel Program
Begins with the U-9/U10 age and is open to players of all skill levels.
Travel outside of Camp Hill is required at this age group/level.
Teams typically practice 2-3 times per week with Saturday games. Players are expected to get at least
25-30
percent playing time.
Sometimes there is option of playing in one fall and/or one spring
tournament, which would be an extra cost.
