Our Programs

INTRAMURAL

The Intramural Program is comprised of two age groups; Smurf (U6) and U8. Smurf (U6) teams are made up of co-ed players and the U8 teams are gender specific. The teams are organized in a blended format which allows for the introduction of soccer skills and team concepts in a way that develops the love of soccer in a community building environment. We will create small teams to allow each player more game experience and ball touches. Smurf teams will play 3v3 with 6 players on a team or as close as numbers will allow. U8 teams will play 5v5 with an ideal 8players per team.

TRAVEL U9 AND UP

Starting with the Fall 2011 season all age groups U9 and up will be in the Blue/White matched skills format. Meaning each team will be made of players with similar skill levels. Now that we have a set structure we can concentrate on supporting that structure to enhance and improve the player’s experience.

TOPSoccer

The Outreach Program for Soccer (TOPS) is a community based training and team soccer program for young athletes with special needs. A TOPS soccer player is defined as any youth player, 6-12 years of age, with a physical or mental disability, who would like to play with a team based on ability, rather than age.

TOPSoccerCHSC TOPS will place emphasis on teamwork, development, training and participation. Our goal is to enable young athletes with special needs to develop their physical fitness, technical skills, courage and self-esteem through the game of soccer. Six one-hour sessions will be held on Sunday afternoons at Schaeffer Elementary School.
